AirRAP Pots from Nutriculture are designed to air prune plant roots resulting in a much larger root mass which in turn will greatly benefit plant growth and overall performance.
Air pruning works the same as removing the tips of the dominant stems on a plant, the plant then produces twice as much new growth behind the cut stem, making it a bushier fuller plant. The same happens with root air pruning, when the roots are exposed to light and air through the small holes on the sides of the AirRAP pots. Air then dries the exposed root tip and it withers and dries off the which makes the root tip stop growing out of the pot and it doubles up growth behind the withered tip then starts filling out the root mass inside the pot.
This in turn reduces the risk of the plant being stressed from being pot bound airrap pots enables the roots to utilise more pot space resulting in bigger yields and healthier plants.
These air pruning pots have a great extra feature compared with the competitors versions which simply is a supporting cone shape on the underside of the larger pots to help support and distribute the weight of the soil/growing media and plant more evenly.
