Lamps
Hydroponic grow light lamps or otherwise known as bulbs are available in many different types and variations.
There are various wattages used for grow lighting so you will have to make sure you match the correct wattage of the bulb to the correct wattage of the ballast or power pack used to run your bulb/lamp. For example if you have a 600 watt ballast then you need to make sure you use a 600 watt bulb with that ballast. Bulbs are available in 250 watt, 400 watt, 600 watt & 1000 watt generally. In other cases like compact fluorescent bulbs they are available in 125 watt 200 watt & 300 watt generally. There are also different types of bulbs/lamps used for grow lighting like High Pressure Sodium, Metal Halide and Compact fluorescent plus other fluorescent tubes normally used for propagation. Also many grow light bulbs are available in different colour spectrums either mainly blue for growth or mainly red for flowering plants, the spectrums are more in depth than just blue and red but as far as the human eye can see these bulbs seem to produce either a blue or red output. If you would like discuss which type of bulb/lamp you are looking for then please get in touch with the team here at Hytec Hydroponics who will be more than happy to help.
