Irrigation Components
Irrigation systems are composed of various components that work together to efficiently deliver water to plants. The choice of components depends on the system type (drip, sprinkler, soaker hose), area size, and plant needs. Common components include a water source, pump (if needed), mainline and sub-main pipes, valves for controlling water flow, filters to prevent clogging, pressure regulators, backflow preventers, controllers or timers, sensors (e.g., rain and soil moisture), emitters (sprinkler heads, drip emitters, soaker hoses), micro-irrigation parts, and fittings/connectors for assembling the system.
